ITT: Voice actors you'd like to read you a bedtime story
>that deep smooth caressing voice

Keith David > Kevin Michael Richardson
Also my pick for the thread, if I won the lottery I would have him narrate my life
I like Kevin Michael Richardson, but damn is he overused in cartoons lately. Seems like voice casting directors spend about 2 seconds thinking, "Hm. We need a deep voice for this character. Let's cast Kevin Michael Richardson. I'm going on break."
Just gets old hearing the same guy voice so many characters.
He also only has two voices. Not a lot of range for someone so ubiquitously cast in voice roles.

Way to show you don't know what you're talking about.

At least he's not John DiMaggio

Watch this entire video and come back to me. I mean the ENTIRE video.

it's funny how many people think this. yes they do a lot of similar-sounding characters, but they both have tremendous range. you just don't notice the stranger-sounding ones
I want Jeff Bennett to read me a story in either his joker voice or his dave the barbarian pony voice.

I fucking hate his Barney Rubble. Talk about a miscast.
>>79001731
>He also only has two voices. Not a lot of range
Nigga, no.
He's like Tara Strong: it would appear he only has a few voices because those are the ones he always gets typecast for, but the guy's got killer range.
Steven Blum. I am a simple man of simple tastes.

KMR has a very impressive range. (Ex. Joker) But he's usually typecasted as the character with the deep voice when you can't get Keith David.
>>79002419
Same. Watching Big-O with my friend and he said that voice didn't fit at all with the character argghhhh
>>79001731
he voiced this huge faggot without me noticing it so he's pretty alright
>>79001731
He DOES have good range, they usually just get him to do the one he's known for.
>>79000503
You need to Add Pandabubba and Milleous to that image, they were some of his best roles.
>>79000503
Oh yeah, that's the voice in tonight's AT episode. Good voice.
>>79001731
Lester from Cleveland Show and Trigon from TT are the same person. Think about that for a moment.
a soopy bedtime story
>>79001731
he is the most typecast VA but when he's cast well, he can be awesome like Shredder for example or Gantu....Oh Blitznak.
I want David Kaye to read to me.
>>79000503
I hate hearing him. It's always the same fucking voice for everyone. His Shredder voice is so dull.
>>79000503
>No Sheriff Blubs on the picture
>>79000503
The catch is that he has to give different voices for every [possible] character in the story, but never once use his Batman-voice.
Which brings me to this >>79002417 topic. I was blown the fuck away when I watched Venture Bros and read his name in the credits as Captain Sunshine. Likewise when I played Jak & Daxter: Precursors Legacy. Apparently ol' Kevin has a range to his voice too, but you tend to forget it when all you seem to hear him as is the old, stoic, serious Batman.

easily the most underutilized VA in the industry.
