Just collect them for now ... honestly I wouldn't bother slotting any until you have all 8 slots unlocked but that's just me.

Keep in mind it costs crystals to unequip an ISO so equip them carefully. You can equip one in the same slot for free but it will destroy the old one.

Once you have all 8 slots unlocked, start rolling for 8 sets and hope you get a good one (RNG may be against you here). Then start equipping the ones that match to complete the set.

Watch out for Chaos ISOs - when you upgrade them their stats can change wildly so they might become useless for your build. I would combine/upgrade Chaos ISOs in your inventory, then only equip them if they work for the character

Yeah enhance them when you can. I would aim for 4*, they're not too bad to obtain - 5* and 6* are where it gets more annoying.

I mean you can still equip them for now to get the boosts but once you get to the end game there's a bunch of stuff you have to account for which means you'll probably have to unequip or destroy old ones.

So just waiting until you can do a full 8 set is a lot simpler.

Well, I have a 6* Destroyer now. I sure hope my gut feeling is right about a forthcoming update for him. This guy really should be more menacing than he is.
