Why exactlydid Toonfire give fans more boners than the slutty original version?
>>78418474
Because overly sexualized isn't always the most attractive
>>78418474That's not the original
Toon Starfire has more...exposure.....
>>78418474
jerking it to the left image as I type this.
>>78418474
I never really had a boner for toonfire.Jinx and Raven, tho, unf. But she's just a better written character in the show than she has been in her recent comics. Never read her original comics portrayal, though, so I can't say if the cartoon version was any better than that.
>>78418501
This, also giant eyes, cute accent.Ravenfag, btw
>>78418474
Because people actually watch cartoons. No one reads comics anymore.
>>78418474
People want to corrupt the innocent naive loli.
because cute and funny are more attractive than aggressively sexual. Slutfire is that super hot chick who would laugh in your face if you dared to talk to her. Toonfire is one of best friends, and has been for years. Which one would you pick?
I prefer the adorable fish out of water Star. Sure, I want to defile every delicious orange inch of her, but also do something romantic with. Sluts aren't really good for that.
Starfire thread?
Cuteness is more sexually attractive than over-sexualization.
My OTP is comics Starfire and cartoon Blackfire.
That delicious adult on teen nympho sex, yo.
its because everyone who reads marvel comics are manchildren who like young girls
>>78418554
And there's actually a voice to one. There's an obvious upside to characters being acted out.
>>78418474
Girl next door syndrome, she makes them more obsessive and horny with her exaggerated coyness than just horny compared to regular Starfire who can be naive but not to a daft like degree.
People don't actually read comics, do they?
>>78418474
Because Toon Starfire is innocent and not a fucking slut like comic Starfire.
No one wants to fuck used goods lmao.
>>78418474
it's the attitude.
Slutfire body and costume on toonfire state of mind is the best version possible.
>>78418572
>hot chick who would laugh in your face if you dared to talk to her.this one
>>78418474
Because Toonfire is a genuinely nice, wholesome person with a good personality AND a rockin' hot body.
Slutfire was just some stupid hot bitch.
So the former pings that part of your brain that tells you to make many many babies with a woman, while the latter just incites the Pump-and-Dump response.
>>78418572
>Slutfire is that super hot chick who would laugh in your face if you dared to talk to her
Even at her worst in RHatO that didn't really happen and can't, given her backstory she's very needy for affection anywhere she can get it, she just gets impatient and as that page used said but people fail to read, small wonder, she also seems to have some weird perceptual complex where she assumes humans don't want her around and she doesn't belong.
The recent stuff has revamped her to a middle ground between Teen Titans and her earlier incarnation.

>>78418474
Girl next door fantasy
>>78418474
More people were exposed to toonfire during puberty.
That's literally all there is to it. There's nothing inherently better about toonfire's design or characterization, it's a matter of exposure.
>>78418474
Toonfire is innocently sedductive, that beats everything, at least for me.
>>78418474
While looks are important, guys DO care about personality as well.
And no, I'm not talking about the 'awesome' and 'amazing' personalities all ugly chicks and insane feminists claim to have and then label men as shallow for not being into them instead of acknowledging their own shortcomings as a person.

You forgetting "your" here made me read it in Starfire's voice.
>>78418540
Starfire's current book under Palmiotti and Conners is a pretty good melding of the two flavors of Starfire. She's flirty and sexy, but goofy and kooky and naive to Earth ways. It's a nice balance and makes Star a really cute character to watch interact with the world. If Slutfire is the snob and Toonfire is the girl next door like >>78418572 said, Palmiottifire is the gorgeous girl who you'd never deserve, but she'll hang out with you and give you a genuine compliment that'll put you over the moon.

>>78419976
>>78418474
Because cute awkward girld seems more attainable than promiscuous hottie, at least to men who aren't confident in their seduction ability (nerds can be this).
Slutfire could get any dude and sort of does. Toonfire is just weird enough that you'd think you can have a niche there.
At least that's how I see that in general, I don't know enough of the specifics of the character herself. If you check /co/ waifus they're more often the cute nerdy girl that people "can't see is hot" than the ostensibly hot girl.
>>78421056
I only think they were bad because Iread them
I still think Starfire is the best in all incarnations of TT.

What that means is that she doesn't appear to leverage her seductive ability, which suggests there won't be 50 guys trying to fuck her at any time. You're just unconsciously playing the odds that you'd have more chances with "innocently seductive".
That or I'm projecting.

Which still makes it only semi-famous. And fuck, not even really, it may be top 40 most famous cape comic titles at best.
My issue is "wow, it's sad how people are uneducated on /co/ about some substrata of comics I happen to be eduacted on". I could school you in Franco-Belgian comics all day but I don't pretend I'm sad or that you don't belong on the board because you haven't read The Bluecoats.

But the topic is not general entertainment, but specifically comics.
This is not /b/, but /co/
>>78418474
Because she wasn't a tryhard sexual fantasy made by overworked, emotionally-underdeveloped comickers who could sate their desire for a gigantic, busty warrior woman who would be "gentle" with them while horrifically cruel with her enemies (which is a form of control, i.e., the distaff counterpart to being pussy whipped).
Toonfire was, at worst, a moeblob, and at best, a fairly well-developed character with distinct parameters for her knowledge, personality, and behavior that bordered on believability. Instead of being highly-specific fetishbait, she was nigh a person you could imagine becoming smitten with. So people did.
