Just finished the first season. This show is amazing, just flat

The third season is overrated.

First season is VERY different from second and ESPECIALLY third season.
First is 90% comedy.
Second is half funny, half serious.
Third is full of feels.

Can we all agree Bloberta was a horrible person that set Clay astray? He could've been okay. What's more, he seemed to be a genuinely nice guy before alcohol

Considering how quickly he fell apart once he took up drinking, Clay was probably going to snap eventually. I doubt he'd have ended up alright, even without Bloberta.

I only watched season 3, and I probably missed out on some great fun, but I never felt like I didn't know who the characters were or what was going on.
I went back to watch 2 or 3 episodes from the earlier seasons and the last episodes of season 2 in particular.

Season 3 is the one that makes the show stand out, I think.
The rest is a very good show nonetheless, but I didn't feel the need to watch it.

Do start from half-season 2 at least though. It did feel like what I watched was out of order, although everything was perfectly understandable.

You could probably find some list of key episodes from the first two season and then watch the third, if you just want to know what the fuss is about relative to the show. None of it is bad though, and the patrician choice would certainly be to watch from the beginning, unlike me (at the end of the day the stuff I avoided in total could be bingewatched in a day).

I end up watching through it all once every couple of years or so (usually coinciding after a breakup). I actually get a lot more enjoyment watching the early episodes again knowing where everything is headed but YMMV.
