Something about our problems consuming us?

>Something about our problems consuming us?
That, a bit of social commentary, and our inability to help one another. It was shown that Ruth's mom and dad wanted to help her and connect with her but they simply didn't know how to. I think that's an underlying problem in this sort of setting.

You know looking at it that makes a lot of sense. Then I suppose ruthes friend taking the frog at the end was symbolizing that he was carrying the guilt of being unable to help her. hence why the little wizard was telling him that it would consume him. Which makes me think that rather than his mental illness the wizard was just his way of coping putting any stress he might be having and pushing it for something constructive.

Ending left me somewhat confused, but it was really interesting. Thanks for the story time Dashly.
