I'm still not convinced the idea would have made it anything more but just another Disney movie.

Having only seen the movie last year, I was pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed by it.

I think I would have hated it if I wasn't exposed to Rocky & Bullwinkle and Looney Tunes at a young age though
