I want Star to make squeaks of pleasure.

I enjoy the fact that there's now a plot that's going to be continued in the next season, but after rewatching the series, it felt like St. Olga's and all the Toffee episodes except Storm the Castle were weaker than a lot of the pure comedy ones.

They were more interesting for "how is this going to be relevant later?" which I guess doesn't hold up as well on a second viewing.

What are your favorite/least favorite episodes?

Favorite is probably Freeze Day. Storm the Castle has weak spots but most of the actually serious stuff is really strong. Quest Buy also seems kind of underrated for a not-really-important episode.

When Banagic Incident aired and everyone bitched I went in with an open mind thinking I might like it anyway, but Star's just obnoxiously unfunny throughout. Pixtopia is pretty weak too, but at least had a few okay jokes.

My favourites are the first episode and school spirit. Not because I see them as the "best" per se but I feel these episodes have the least issues.

In the first episode my only problem was Marco freaking out in front of the gas station - it was just a very poor joke and could have been handled much better. As for the school spirit I found the booty shaking joke to be disturbing. I wouldn't mention it if it wasn't broadcasted on children's channel, apart from that I don't really care for that joke, it's very meh, the only upside of it is blushing Star. Sleep walking Star was pretty cool and comfy, and it has the best joke in the entire season

while I saw that coming I don't say it is comedy gold. It was nice touch and unfortunately the funniest thing the show has to offer.

I kind of hate mewberty because it had much potential but it just had to be ruined with poor pasing. Also it has the worst joke in the entire season

seriously? I'd reccomend the creators to hire a writer with better taste, more imagination and pay him more than minimal wage. Don't get me wrong. Scat, piss and vomit is actually my sense of humor, but there are times and places where it is appropriate and welcome, and when it is not.

Other than that I don't really hate or love any other episode as a whole, just parts of it. These are top 5 worst jokes in the show in my opinion:

Quest Buy stands out to me as my favorite overall episode, it really hit the nail in terms of what I liked about the show; namely the wacky adventures of these two distinct friends in a weird magical place that mirrored something mundane.

However, there's a number of really enjoyable episodes with weak parts/jokes which can leave a bad taste. For instance, Interdimensional Field Trip was great in that it introduced more characters to this zany magical setting and had Star out of her usual role and interacting with different people. The problem is most of the Marco moments in that episode were just flat out weak, hard to watch at times. The same can be said for some of the other popular episodes, but their good parts make up for the weaker parts.

I definitely would like to see some more solo episodes, just to see where they can go with it.

Story-telling wise Mewnipendence and Sleep Spells are my favourite. Character development not being shoved in our faces and funny jokes with good timing.
Banagic is a little out of characters and strange, but very funny, even if too "lol so random XD".
St. Olga's was, for me, most underwhelming one (thinking about what it could have been), while the only one that I really didn't like is Lobster Claws.

Trying to catch up with discussion, I'm not really sure if I have a favorite episode, every eps got their highlights and low points. But "Sleep Spells" will always have a special place in my heart since it's the episode that got me hooked/think about giving the show a chance.

Lot's of folks already covered 'Spades' in terms of hopeful new characters. I'm in the camp that hopes to see more past exchange students. Star and/or Marco's extended family would be sweet too. IDBM leaks already suggest/show we'll be seeing Star's Great Uncle in season 2.

>"No worries Marco, Hope and I are going shopping in celebration of our besties getting together, so we won't interfere with your date, promise!" -Star said, while crossing her fingers with the hand she had behind her back
>"Ok then, you two have fun, but I gotta go if I don't want to be late" -Marco said as he started down the stairs, waving at Star as he walked out the door and got on his bike
>Once he was out of sight, Star pulled out her cellphone and started furiously texting Hope
>After a relatively uneventful ride downtown, Marco made it to the site of part 1 of his dating plans for the night: The Cinoplex 20; the biggest movie theater in Echo Creek
>As he finished locking up his bike, he saw who he thought was Sabrina, milling around in front of movie posters outside the lobby
>Making his way over, he called out her name, and sure enough, the girl turned around, revealing to be Sabrina in a fairly cute getup, just a normal short sleeved t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans

>Having picked out some snacks and one large soda for the two to share, the pair walked down toward the theater with their movie, still being shadowed the hoodied figures, who had brought their own snacks with them
>After Marco and Sabrina debated about it, they decided to sit near the very middle, while the hoodied pair sat two rows behind them
>After some previews, the movie started in earnest, and it was a fairly enjoyable flick for all involved
>Marco enjoyed the fight sequences, while Sabrina loved the touching romantic tale that was interwoven throughout the film
>The hoodied figures enjoyed the film as well, thanks for asking
>But they also seemed to be watching Marco and Sabrina as well as the movie
>After the movie, the couple hung out near the entrance, talking about the movie and trying to decide what to do next
