Sorry this page took so long, got interrupted.
Just a reminder, that Golden Crab, Shooting Star, and Unicorn/Rackham are totally apolitical adventures because they were written during the german occupation, and this caused big troubles for Hergé after the war.
Indeed, though I've never really looked into the troubles it caused him much.
Ah, that might also explain where the Tintin magazine came from then.
And that's that, now we have a castle. We're also now halfway through the comics, with 12 books left.
Next week, Seven Crystal Balls.
I did like Calculus, but I always wondered why Herge decided he'd be one of the new main characters. The Captain as well.
A lot about both of them in their first stories just seemed like they'd be a "character of the day" type deal, like the professor from Ottakers
>Wow that's the first time I come on a Tintin thread, does someone know why Tournesol is called Calculus in english ?
So he can have an aliterative name
I guess the translator could have named it Sylvester Sunflower, but Calculus is more science-ish.
Not a big deal, it's worse to change Milou for Snowy tbqh
