So in The Multiversity Guidebook we find out that the original pre flashpoint Darkseid is still alive. But he never showed up in the rest of Multiversity. Where did he go? Also, why was Orion absent with the other resting New Gods

>Where did he go.
To find a comfy chair.

But he's not Metron

Probably on some random Earth doing pic related.

It's not necessarily that there is a "pre-Flashpoint" Darkseid. There in only one Darkseid (there is only one of each of the New Gods), but the different avatars or facets of the godhead are what interact with the universes.
>Also, why was Orion absent with the other resting New Gods
I don't know, either.
You misunderstand, anon. The original Darkseid is dead, split into "fragments" across the Multiverse. In theory if these fragments were to merge they would restore Darkseid to his full ideological power.

Even Darkseid needs to sit.

Obligatory

So is that why the New Gods were resting and he wasn't, since they weren't sung to death?

Do New Genesis and Apokolips exist in all 52 universes at the same time then?
>>77848251
A version of them yes, though I think that the Earth - 0 and Earth - 2 versions are shared as they share a Darkseid And other new gods.
How did he get split into all these different fragments?
>>77848300
In Superman Beyond/Final Crisis Superman sung him to the fragments.
>>77848300
Let's see, his body died so he had to possess a human who's body was unable to hold his essence and broke down after Barry and Wally ran the Black Racer through him after being shot with a Radon bullet by Batman. After losing his body and evolving into an idea, Superman sang to him and then he was dragged down to hell where he broke into 52 fragments.
>>77848251
no, the true New Genesis and Apokolips exist outside the universes
