I can potentially see how the AU could be good even if I don't personally like it (the AU with Marco brainwashed as a Saint O's guard and Star being a brainwashed model student appeals to me more because they're both fucked up), but I do not at all get the point of it if all anyone, sometimes even the artist, ever does with it is just draw scenarios that would better fit the Star and Marco already in the show (especially >>77800388).

I would actually find it cute if Star was just portrayed as naturally being the kind of princess you get the impression the royal family would've preferred (taking after attendants/nobles instead of the royal guards), but then you can't have drama and "Save the real Star, she's still in there somewhere!"

The issue with this AU is that it presents an interesting concept. Maybe people like it for the possibilities it offers, instead of it's... true and shitty set-up...

I mean, I found this AU and I liked it. Then I read about it and disliked it... but I still liked what people do around this AU, although it's bad premise.

It would've worked better if Marco was a real bad boy, who goes spaggethi around Star (opposite of regular Marco), and if Star behaved properly because of her uprising, and not related to St. Olga's (opposite of regular Star). Now that'd make more sense... but nope...

Does anyone here have any really dumb/pointless "theories" about the show that just came to you through watching it normally?

Confession: I've wondered if Mewni is X hours ahead of Earth (or California, more like) due to it always seeming to be night when they show Ludo's castle during the day... but then it appearing to be sunrise during Storm the Castle, even though it can't be late enough in the evening on Earth for Marco's parents to worry about him being gone.

Probably just due to whatever the background artists thought would look best, but it seriously led me to wonder about the differences of another dimension's timezones. Swear I've never done that for any other show.

What we see a lot from Manna is a sly and crafty girl pinning after a boy she likes and expresses her feelings by teasing, stealing from him and being somewhat forward with him as well. While her methods and actions may come off as a bit underhanded and mischievous, it's really because she is doing what she can to be close to the one she likes. She's a bit of an underdog that deals with things in a sneaky yet somewhat endearing way. I guess part of Manna's appeal is watching how Marco deals with the antics of this troublesome girl that has harbored feelings for him for years but was too shy to actually say something. What she does, she does for him in a sense. At least that's kind of how I see it through all this fan interpretation.

Just think about it though, what do we REALLY know about this ship called Manna that isn't just all fan wank? She's a bit of a tease, a nuisance to Marco and they've known each other for years and that's pretty much it. Within the confines of the show Manna might not as well even be a thing right now. Maybe their relationship will be extrapolated upon more in season 2 though for better or worse.

I liked this a lot. The edge was mad brutal.Poor Janna, Hope and Sabrina. Though in retrospect it's kind of funny that Sabrina was the luckiest out of the three in terms of not being brutally tortured to death. The plot was cool, things felt like they tied well together, and the villain was a real slimeball and easy to hate. The lewds were a fair amount of disturbing(dark parts), and hot(happier parts) and I liked the variety--For lack of a better word...

Some errors here and there(Grab being used in place of 'grip' in some parts comes to mind.) But it didn't detract from the story too much. To speak as vaguely as possible I'll say the ending left me satisfied. Part of me almost thought King Yves the first wasn't going to revive the girls, but he did and conveniently

That's right. The worst of it is that Lady arguably has the same energetic personality as Star but lacks the original's sincerity and heart. While Sol has all the strength, 'coolness' and extraordinary traits Marco probably wishes he had if "Sleeps Spells" is anything to go by. But he's boring, hardly has any agency of his own, and depending on how many cybernetics you imagine him to have--is quite heavily maimed/mutilated.

So post-St.O episode plus Heinous high on revenge is the primary/main inspiration/most logical route. But if others have different ideas for origins that's fine by me. I'd rather avoid absolutes since that's what ultimately drove me away from the Badboy AU.

I'm both happy that I was able to get that feeling of despair across but also super guilty. The latter of which is probably why I try to do humorous/cute content with Sol and Lady, while liking/appreciating it in written form.

As for a happy ending? It feels bad/lazy to say 'it depends' a lot but there's many ways this whole thing could 'end'. But yes, there is a happy ending ultimately(at least in my mind), it will just take a lot of work from a lot of parties: Family, friends any kind of good support system, and lots and lots of therapy. The evil/crueler part of me can still think up of various bad/sad ends. Heck many potential 'happy' endings can be extremely dark depending on whether or not one wants to indulge in some sweet sweet cathartic vengeance.

Anyways, for people around here who didn't like the edginess, let me tell you it's been a thing that happened only this week. Maybe it was the black friday mood, maybe it's the impending coming of christmas, or maybe it was FV orchestrating his edgy parade for weeks (he's always in the mood to unleash the edginess, but he never finds the right time to do so in /sveg/), but this week-end most of us just went along and got cut.
