Also mentioned in an interview that there would be more about Star maturing and how she doesn't want fighting monsters to be her identity. But nothing yet about when it might actually air.

They've been working on it since February, around the same time they were just finishing post-production work on s1.

If they decided to age the cast. Star and Marco are suppose to be 14 but they both look like pre teens and they are freshmen in high school.
