I actually think that Dipper's kind of a masochist. He never seems to react badly to all the physical damage he gets on his adventures and he keeps throwing himself back into them.

I actually think the character designs themselvesg are great, but the whole concept...it really waters down Bill's menace somehow and they feel tacked on. If they really leave next episode, I might not mind. It's more interesting to see Bill interact with the main characters. None of the gang have personalities and there's no time to develop them now. Maybe if they'd had more Bill and eased these guys in sooner I'd feel differently. And again, I like their actual designs, but they feel like a big waste of time at this point.

Character development-wise, there's not much ground left to cover, save for the Stans making up. That's the real impediment to a third season. You can always introduce new mysteries, but Dipper and Mabel's character arcs seem to be nearing completion.

Plot-wise, fixing the damage done by Weirdmageddon would be the obvious choice, or saving someone who sacrificed themselves against Bill. Or the return of the ayyy lmaos. Or a collection of out of continuity special episodes to showcase more of their summer adventures. Or even another summers' adventures, despite what Alex said before.

It resurrected Dipper's Wendy crush, and shit all over him when he acted like Mabel. It had no resolution for the spider woman plot, they just run away from her and she can still kill, plus Stan was weirdly useless against her. It ditched Soos at the side if the road.

Granted it was a funny episode when 2B was mostly humorless and crappy, but it's not as good as 1 or 2A episodes. No lore means the lorefags that haunt /gfg/ hate it. Really it's just kind of mediocre.

Unfortunately most of these questions are geared towards Mary Sue's that are supposed to be heroes, things like being loved by everyone, never being judged for doing bad things.

You can get villain Mary Sues but they're the 'never defeated and never played for laughs' where as Bill made a big cock up at the end of Sock Opera and failed his par of Gideon's deal. Of course his character is incomplete at this point, we don't know if there's any extra motivation, we don't know how he got to this point, we don't know what will happen to him in the end.

Going off power levels he is on the high end but he does have his limitations and had to work to remove some. We'll have to see how the rest of Weirdmageddon goes to see just how he's brought down and how the others make a comeback.

Jokes aside, those tests are bullshit. Even the"original" ones are still patterned after the old fanfics trope. An OC being powerful and special and having the plot revoke around them is annoying, but for a main character, it's expected.

They also really don't work on villains. Villains have to be super powerful because they have to be able to take on all of the good guys in the show together and be able to overcome them at a certain point in the plot. Although it does get ridiculous in the case of, say, the Joker when it comes to never getting BTFO, Bill doesn't have anything like that track record. He's only appeared a handful of times and he fucked up each time.

My biggest complaint with Bill is that he's just not as weird so far in Weirdmageddon as he was before. The person above who said he's pretty much just a thug at this point is right, but I find that boring. What made Bill interesting was being sort of strange, unpredictable, and making the characters suffer in interesting ways. It would be nice to see more of that.
