My mother has developed a very severe heart condition that's left her unable to walk more then a hundred feet at a time, which has basically made her almost entirely homebound. She's not at 600 pound levels or anything but not being able to do anything at all means an inevitable gain in weight that really can't be helped. I barely ever hear /co/ say a fucking word about Valiant. Every Valiant thread I see gets about 10-20 replies before it falls off the front page and 404s. And yet, when they announce that they're doing a FOUR ISSUE MINI-SERIES where the main character happens to be plus size, you get multiple threads with triple-digit replies filled with posts moaning about how "this pandering is the type of thing that's ruining comics."

Forced diversity and progressive pandering aren't the reason comics these days are shit. The fact that if companies didn't pull stunts like this then no one would care otherwise is the reason comics these days are shit.
