That'd be weird. But I'd like to see the villains in other shows make an appearance in Steven Universe. Like Ice King and the Lich. Well, the Lich is a baby now. Or, the big headed guy in Regular Show. In terms of shows, villains are scarce.

Maybe something else. Anything to fuck with Steven's Universe. You know, maybe just having other characters show up with their problems is good enough.

Does UG really have a canon, though? I don't remember there being any callbacks to previous episodes, except maybe the reference to Christopher Columbus in two episodes.

As for Steven Universe, ... well, how many crossovers have ended up being canon in general? I'm having a hard time thinking of many/any at the moment.

Yeah, I think from all of this he could pick up on the, resenting him a little bit, even if they don't want to admit it. I like that he's picked up on it, I didn't know if the show was going to ever address that at all, or at least not without them spelling it out to his face in some big scene. I don't watch UG and I will probably not get many of the jokes and references and this episode might as well be nonexistant to me. That's why I don't like crossovers. Because they make you feel left out if only watch one of the shows. They only work BECAUSE people know that it is a crossover.

Actually, I have a strong suspicion that this is exactly why they made it a point to air Open Book and Joy Ride before Uncle Grandpa. It's like how they had to air Rose's Scabbard during the Steven Bomb because there's a flashback to it in The Return.
