Howdy Folks
Welcome to a BPRD storytime presented in glorious extra color by me, Guy B. PRD.
Today we'll be taking a look at the finale of the Plague of Frogs cycle, King of Fear.
Hope you enjoy!
Oh fuck
>>65750521
So how yall doing today?
>>65751162
Not bad, ordered a bunch of new comics. Gonna go watch The Roosevelts later and dinner with an old friend.
Weather's great today but I didn't realize we got into fall.
How about you?
>>65751465
Great as always.
Is it really fall already?
>>65751162
Well, one teacher from my college is going to fuck over all my degree by making me fail one exam with a 4,5 when every other subject is passed and I have a 10 in my last proyect, so I'm reading storylines to forget about it for now.
>>65751516
That's a bummer. How are they making you fail an exam?
>>65751513
I think it's the last day of summer.
>>65750521
thanks guy. we love you.
>>65751576
Well, mostly they scored my exam with 6.5 and rested 2 points because of ortography.
>>65750521
All hail Guy!
>>65750710
Who else is thinking "Awww, how sweet, she met a nice guy, relationship is blooming... countdown until he is dead and/or evil in 3... 2..."
>>65751774
FEAR THE CLAW
>>65751774
heartwarming
fumps for the bump god!
>>65751774
Man, Lobster is like The Boss of the BPRD universe. A big deal but so mysterious.
>>65751253
"Which time" lol, dry BPRD wit.
>>65752041
mmh... he looks like he's in a very bad shape.
>>65752154
I love how Black Flame is still a huge nerd, even fully enveloped in the weird Ogdru flames. The current Black Flame though is an entirely different game altogether
>>65751774
*sniffles*
>>65752116
I think its neat that we still have no idea who he is or why he was so unbeatable.
Lobster is pretty scary if you think about it, thank god he is on the side of JUSTICE.
Oh shit, this is the moment where Devon loses his faith in Abe.
>>65752366
holy shit.
>>65752762
A future where BPRD has cool power armor stuff and Hellboy is back? Hmmm...
>>65752787
Looking good, Abe.
>>65752837
>>65752861
Suddenly, Mignola
>>65752978
Prehistoric ninja wizard, out of nowhere!
>>65752837
>>65752861
I do wish all of BPRD would be using this artstyle. The lack of Mignolas style is my only problem with it.
>>65753031
kinda anticlimatic
>>65753146
Is this the same area that Abe's old robot buddies were going to suck the souls out of?
All island nations full of brown people are the same to me.
>>65752762>Black Flame looking armor>Kate recently found Sledgehammer's armor in storageI-I think I just put something together
>>65753281
Probably part of them.
>>65753531
Devon you shit.
nothing like getting paid and reading comics. xD
And that concludes the Plague of Frogs story cycle, hope you all enjoyed!
Next up is BPRD: Hell on Earth. I'm going to be taking a few days off before that though.
See you folks then!
>>65753680
Oh, that is the one where crazy things happens everywhere and many people die?
>>65753720
Sure.
>>65753720
Nothing crazy happened as of yet.
Guy, are you planning on doing the BPRD origins stories at all?
>>65753864
I'm not sure yet.
>>65753909
I'm trying to think if there's anything that happens in them that affects HoE. I know the other tie-ins are a bit more important in that sense (Abe Sapien: The Abyssal Plain introduces Sal Tasso and Iosif, for example)
>>65754017
introduces Vavara
>>65753322
Isn't Hellboy alive in that picture as well?
>>65754017
>>65754036
Yeah, mostly just Varvara. I guess von Klempt is in both, sort of.
Oh, and a very small connection(at this point)Fenix's necklace made from that nuclear glass in 1948
>>65754036
There it is. Thank you.
>>65752614
Do we know C. Giarocco? Who'd I forget.
>>65752762
>201?
>>65754162
Not yet, Carla appears in person in New World
Also that was really good, thanks for posting

>>65751774
And the Lobster gets his Valhalla
Dammit, where do I start with BPRD? Are there any collections or is there a cycle order?
>>65750521

Okay, here's what you can do. Read Hellboy until volume five, Conqueror Worm. From that point, you can read Hellboy and BPRD pretty much interchangeably.
BPRD is collected in a number of trades but Plague of Frogs, the 12-volume story Guy here just finished, is collected in 4 hardcover (soon to be paperback as well) volumes labeled Plague of Frogs, so that's simple.
After the events of Plague of Frogs comes Hell on Earth, which is ongoing and will soon fill its tenth trade with no sign of slowing down.
As far as other BPRD offerings, there's 1946, 1947, and 1948, aka the Origins trilogy. They take place exactly when you think they do with those names.
Also in that time period is BPRD Vampire, which continues a storyline started in 1947.
Other tie-ins I would recommend be read between Plague of Frogs and Hell on Earth.
Lobster Johnson has four volumes, Sir Edward Grey: Witchfinder has almost completed three, and Sledgehammer '44 has just the one.
Abe Sapien's solo series is a bit more difficult, but I recommend the first two trades (The Drowning and The Devil Does Not Jest & Others) before Hell on Earth, and everything past that (starting with Dark and Terrible) can be read after volume five of BPRD Hell on Earth.
>>65765153
>>65762750
Alternatively this is probably less confusing.

This chick is legit spooky.

Bump, will be back in 2 hours
Keep the train going /co/
>>65770058
lucky bastard, liz was a qt p2t back in her younger days
>>65753606
hey wait a minute, did they completely forget about this guy? I've read every bit of BPRD and I don't remember him coming back.
>>65772988
Probably
>>65772998
how uncharacteristic
>>65773004
Maybe he'll come back in Abe Sapien?
>>65773018
seems ripe for it, god knows he could use a more active antagonist since Strobl doesn't seem to be heading towards Abe anytime soon.
>>65773018
they bundled this with a recent Abe issue because I guess it wasn't really widely available in its original release. i was all excited that Guy was drawing BPRD again.
>>65753378
I love how the hearing went from "YOU DUN GOOFED" to "We X-com now".
>>65755768
Isn't he slightly afraid of cats being allergic and what not?
>>65773563
I like to think they got together and was like "so i've been playing x-com if you replaced the aliens with monsters and demons seems like something that could happen here" some random dude " we should do it"
and then they do it
also capcha i almost forgot about it :C cause ive been on the other chan allot
>>65753680
It has been an honor to read these great works you so kindly gifted to us thank you Mr. PRD.
>>65772843
superlate bump
Got back just 15 minutes ago, now doing some bullshit presentation
