Foods that make you feel better? I had a really rough day. I just came back from an extended work shift. It is now 12:30 am, I'm not tired and I'm hungry. I have a full fridge from yesterday's groceries and i'm currently having some red beer.
What is your comfy cheer up meal? I don't mind cooking, I just want to feel a little better.
Vegetable soup. Preferably with alphabet noodles. Just boil some onions and cabbage a few minutes, add veggie bullion, seasonings, and the rest of the vegetables. Boil till soft the simmer the noodles.

When im depressed or stressed, I'll make a small pot of gravy, and water it down just enough that I can sip on it out of my coffee mug.
On cold days I'll make bscuits to dip in it.

Make your own egg noodles, son! Only takes about 30-45 minutes, you can do it while the rest of the soup is cooking. Guarantee you it'll make you feel better and comfy, fresh egg noodles in soup are top grade.
2.5 cups flour, pinch of salt
2 between eggs, 1/2 cup milk, Tbs butter.
Mix and knead for about 5 minutes let it stand about 1, then roll it out and cut your noodles. Let em dry for a few minutes, then toss them in the pot. They'll cook quicker than store egg noodles.
Just taught yourself a new skill and you get to enjoy delicious soup. What could be better?
