This. Don't be such a squimish priss op. Those are just sell by dates anyways. It's how grocery stores manage inventory more than anything else. If it smells good it is good. If it smells slightly sour just salt it a lil more. If it smells like a rancid baby diaper THROW THAT SHIT OUT.

Yeah, it tasted just fine but I threw most of it out from disgust and paranoia. What a shame.

It just means the carbon dioxide they put into it has gone away and as >>9419087 stated, oxygen got to it and it turns normal colored. Some places even use red dyes and other methods to make it look bright red because that is for some reason what people want when they shop for it.
