Candying season is upon us, what are you going too candy this fall? I'm going to try this http://www.delicious.com.au/recipes/candied-tomatoes-basil-leaves/550eaf5c-48ee-4718-a721-455162ad59fd
Every year my lime trees fruit get pecked to shit by birds
I managed to scare the fuckers away this year but now I have too many limes to reasonably use before they go bad
How do I make candied lime peel? Is it worth trying to make?

That looks pretty but sounds like it would taste weird.

Sell some limes to Gweneth Paltrow

donate the limes to your city's underfed

Blanch it a couple times then boil it in simple syrup for half an hour, dry in a low oven and toss in sugar. It's not really worth it in my opinion because it produces an absolute ton and there's not a lot you can do with it besides snacking on it or decorating cakes. You could make lime marmalade instead, that at least is a bit more versatile.

I'm curious as to how this was achieved.
