stopped eating meat and dairy for 7 months so far. heres what i noticed
>less swollen, gyno is non existant, lost weight
>acne is nearly gone after years of battling it
>less tired and less aggravated.
>able to sleep better
>stools pass with completion, less struggle
>acid reflux hasnt come back
>digestion is comfortable instead of bloating and esoughpagous is no longer affected.
>sweating doesnt cause grime
>can maintain focus
>face swelling especially in the cheeks is gone after 2 months.

my theory is that the high iron content diet affects the blood especially near electromagnetic sources like wifi and cellphone towers which there are concrete scientific papers that prove this causes aggrivation and mood swings.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12881192

another theory is that dairy and high levels of calcium and hormone fat causes gyno and swelling as well as bone decay due to leeching. theres evidence of that too.

i substituted meat with alternate plant based products which were just as tasty and less cholesterol.

overall: there's something in the meat and dairy due to commercialism and cutting corners.

Just don't get picky about your vegan diet. Eat complete proteins and a varied diet. Or else in 4 to 7 years your skin will start rotting off.
>>
>>9400143
>less swollen
wut

like, usually your body is just all swollen?
>>
My theory is that your diet beforehand was terrible.

multivitamins. if needed.
rice and beans.

>>9400171
ever see people in their late 20s or early 30s with pudgy faces and bad skin from dieting of meat for years. the working man look, pic related. its because of the diet of high iron, salt and calcium. it affects the blood and skin.
>>
>>9400171

OP probably looks like a twig now and has convinced himself that having a healthy body fat ratio is being swollen, basically OP has anorexia.
>>
>>9400179
That's called being fat.
>>
>>9400143
I'm also starting vegan (1.5 months) but I dont think /ck/ is the best place to discuss veganism. too many people meme against it here. Veganism is really only worth discussing with people who have made effort to research its pros and cons.

I was actually vegetarian for my entire life before switching to vegan but I feel a lot better already. I'm struggling with eating enough still but everything else is fine.

I agree that there is something bad in our food that's exacerbated by meat and dairy and processed foods. Veganism is great because it forces you to avoid those things.
>>
vegetarian here who's trying to cut out of dairy and bread. i've noticed these past few months my bread and cheese consumption has been rather high so im going to try and cut it out for a few months and see how i feel, what do you guys recomend as a "replacement" for bread?
>>
>>9401880
most bread is vegan i think
>>
Semi vegan here for cultural reasons.
I eat meat, dairy, eggs and honey, yes, but in rather small quantities compared to more typical western diets. I would guess that roughly 75% of my meals are vegetarian-friendly and most of those (excluding breakfast because lolmilkcoffee) are also suitable for vegans.

I'm in America. People my age here who eat more carb-heavy or meat-heavy diets than I do look considerably older to me than I think I and my family look. Same with vegans, actually. The ones I know are either fat as fuck ('oreo is vegan!!!') or look like spooky Halloween decorations and the Halloween decoration vegans look aged beyond their years.

Maybe you need a little bit of animal sourced food? I'm not a dietitian so I can't say for sure, but it really does seem to me that it's one of those things where you only need a little bit. Too much and you look and feel like shit and too little and you look and feel like shit. Delicate balance or something? idk
Does anyone know if I'm on to something here or just delusional?
>>
>>9401880
Why are you cutting out bread?
>>
>>9400143
over-consumption of dairy was probably most of your problem. nobody needs vegetarianism technically but everyone needs to eat more vegetables. i bet your diet was awful beforehand.

t. vegetarian
>>
>>9400143
How much fucking red meat were you horking down into your fat fucking gullet that you had all these problems to begin with? These aren't meat problems, they're nutritional problems. Cut down meat and increase veggie intakes. You're a fucking idiot.
>>
>>9400143
>i suck ten times more cock than before
>semen digestion is up 43%
>can fit a whole hand up my anus now
>>
>>9401967
I think most of it is just eating properly. As far as we know, there are no essential nutrients exclusive to animal products.
>>
>>9401967
>Does anyone know if I'm on to something here or just delusional?

A diet that contains meat but in relatively small amounts is about as healthy as one could possibly get. There are many nutrients which, while present in plants, are much more bioavialable from animal sources. A diet that's mostly vegetables but contains small amounts of meat, seafood, and dairy is nearly impossible to improve upon. Especially if that meat involves organ meats, which are usually highly nutritious.
>>
>>9401901
i know but i was asking if anyone had tried any alternatives.

>>9401978
because its in most of my meals that i eat and i'm starting to get over it, want to try out a lower carb diet
>>
>>9401995
I eat an average of around 350g of meat in a week which I would guess is low (~18kg/40lbs per year). This includes fish. If I eat meat/fish at all in a given day, it's only at one meal and is a roughly 100g or so portion.

>organ meats are good
Not my favourite, but I eat it if someone else prepares it.

>>9401989

Correct. There are supplements available. They certainly aren't natural, but they are vegan.

Oh look it's an I ate all junk food then started eating just vegetables must've been the meat and dairy.

You can't lose gyno with dieting. You mentioned weight loss so I know you were in fact just a fatty. Probably still are. Just less fatty.
>>
>>9401859
I went vegan or a year. The no oils type after watching one of those docus.
I wouldn't recommend it as it can become a really unhealthy lifestyle. I thought it would help me feel better health wise. I lost all my gains and still felt like shit. Plus all the eating and self cooking became a chore. Social life takes a dip because you can't eat everywhere.
I agree with this >>9400178
It was never the meat alone, but the other shit he would've carelessly consumed as well.
>>
>implying high hemoglobin somehow results in wifi making you angery
>t. Biochem grad
Motherfucker do you want to cut beans out of your diet too? Iron isn't just in meat and your body generally self-regulates it pretty well. There's more of a danger on brain function in being anemic. And I don't know why the fuck you brought that EEG article up, it shows nothing pertaining to blood iron levels.
>>
>>9400143

>>
>>9401995

>>
>>9404612
Question tho, You say it's not a healthy diet, how does eating meat and animal fat somehow make a diet healthy... A healthy vegan diet is the same as a healthy Meat diet but without animal products lol? If you felt worse eating a vegan diet, you were not eating correctly
>>
>>9404699
Because animal fat isn't inherently bad for you and actually has some useful fat soluble vitamins. Excess is bad, but so is excess of broccoli or excess of water. Excess is bad. Abstinence isn't healthy either. Moderation is healthy.
>>
>>9404710
Yes but you didn't answer my question, how is a vegan diet unhealthy. What is so important in meat that when removed, we become unhealthy.
>>
>>9404719
Well to be fair you had a two part question and I answered half. The other half is that the fat soluble vitamins aren't found in vegetables as well as other micronutrients and some minerals like iron. Vegans can supplement for these things, but they still often struggle to eat enough fat for uptake of the vitamins. It's not impossible to be a healthy vegan, but usually the rub is that it requires a level of nutritional understanding and discipline that most of it's more casual disciples lack. The real question becomes if a healthy diet is more easily achieved by moderating your meats, fish, and dairy then what exactly is the value of the vegan diet?
>>
>>9400143
You made perfect sense. Though I don't know WTF gyno is. Then you said:
> wifi and cellphone towers
and went full retard. You need fish for your brain, man.

>>

Muh real men look like fat sacks of shit
>>
>>9404762
Yeah you're right about people lacking understanding, I do believe schools need to teach more on how to live a healthy life style and make proper food choices, The problem I see about Moderating an animal product diet is that it still takes away from the lives of animals, most fish are polluted with toxins that are in our oceans, Fishing and Farming animals is not sustainable for the worlds health, and the fact that all animal flesh has cholesterol that needs to be avoided.
>>
>>9404762
Nuts and seeds are not hard to get or eat, neither are oils or avocados.
>>
>>9404874
Dietary cholesterol does not have a causational link to arterial cholesterol. Small fish like smelts, anchoa, and sardines are harvested too young to pick up heavy metals (I've also heard some compelling studies that even the big fish don't carry enough to have a noticeable impact on health think about countries that rely on big fish for their diet Japan, Scandinavia, Portugal but I don't wanna get into an argument about that), there is also nothing immoral about death or killing animals.
>>
>>9404903
>dietary cholesterol does not have a link to arterial cholesterol

Soccer mom broscience antivaxxer ketoniggery
>>
>>9404880
Most people just don't eat enough of them not because they're hard to get. Idk why maybe they get burnt out on the taste, it's a very monotonous diet.
>>
>>9404909
No. That's a true statement you cannot find a single study that has found a causational link.
>>
>>9404919
You can find multiple. You're just a dumb nigger that shoves his head into the sand

You just need to scream "BIG PHARMA CONSPIRACY!!!" and you'll check off every requirement of a golden retriever human who needs to chlorinate his gene pool permanently
>>
>>9404916
>nuts seeds and oils are hard to get

Incredible
>>
>>9404903
Havn't looked much into fish myself, but I'll take your word for it and it sounds interesting, not sure about how sustainable feeding the entire world with that method is though. My stance on killing animals for food is the fact that we do not need to kill animals to live, so why do it when it also negatively affects our environment drastically. I don't think animals are as valued as humans but they still have value in their sentience, enough to justify not killing them. I've seen studies that links dietary cholesterol directly to LDL cholesterol so I'm not sure why you think it doesn't harm you when you eat any amount
>>
>>9400143
You forgot:
>Super strength, can now bend whole steel beams with fingertips
>Nightvision, can spot meat eaters in the dark way before the smell of death reaches my nose
>Can now go days without sleep or underwater
>Flight
>Women obey my commands
>Shitposting out of the whazoo

Just vegan things
>>
>>9404903
Any study showing eggs or meat doesn't increase cholesterol levels, the subjects in the study already had high cholesterol levels, but when you take someone with low / healthy cholesterol levels, guess what, unhealthy cholesterol goes up :/
>>
>>9404927
Correlation≠causation. How most old people eat some meat? Dietary cholesterol isn't a lethal poison just something that needs to be eaten in correct portions.
>>9404937
Why would the death of an animal bother you? Not raising livestock species for agriculture would likely lead to their extinction or close to it as well.
>>9404937
>>9404958

You've seen correlational links but there are no causational links. What that means is that scientists have been unable to prove WHY the correlations keep popping up with an actual physical mechanism in the body. There are lots of factors that can skew correlation studies. An example is the studies that led scientists to believe there was a link between ice cream consumption and polio when the real culprit was kids swimming in pools with infected kids.
>>
>>9405020
Gotcha, I guess I need to study more into cholesterol then.

Death of animals bothers me because they feel pain and suffering as we do, I can connect with them because I don't view them as objects or food, just the way I would feel terrible if I saw someone killing or torturing a dog, the same feelings come about with all animals. I just wish more people felt this way.

and of course the population of livestock would drastically decrease as we would not be farming them, and I'm fine with that. It would not be incredibly hard to sustain a small amount of these animals till they adapt to nature.
>>
>>9400143

>>
>>9405020
>There are lots of factors that can skew correlation studies.

Yes, this is true for cases where there are variables that you do not account for. When it comes to diet however, if you control everything that your group is eating I don't understand how you can make that argument unless it's from genetics?
>>
>>9405877
We'll see that's the biggest problem dietary studies rely almost completely on honest reporting since we don't run studies on a mass incarcerated population where things are carefully controlled like on mice for example. Somebody should use Americas prison population for this purpose so we can get a straight answer.
>>
>>9405049
>worthless furry trying to justify their debauchery

just eat a bullet, 100% vegan.
>>
>>9405910
What makes someone so catastrophically asspained over someone not wanting to eat meat?
>>
>>9405898
There probably is some untrustworthy results but it's far more likely that it's coming from the animal agriculture industry that makes billions in business every year.
>>
>>9405934
That's just your opinion dude. There's lots of money to be made from grain lobbies pushing for more consumption of soy vegan products too. Lots of grants to be given away to fund all types of studies. Dietary science is about as exact as non Neuroscience psychology.
>>
>>9401880
Try homemade bread with ancient varieties of wheat spely or rye
They are not that great from store bagged and clean bakeries are hard to find
>>
>>9401880
Whole grain flax cereal or granola with coconut milk. Also oatmeal and rice. Cutting out bread is a great idea. If you fill up on whole grains that aren't bread, you won't crave it.
>>
>>9401880
>>9405993
(same anon) while these things aren't a direct replacement for bread, I don't really feel the need to eat bread because I'm not in the habit of making sandwiches or toast. If I need a quick side with my starches and proteins I whip up some greens. I'm also low-carb but I don't shy away from healthy starchy vegetables.

For religious reasons, i went vegan for about two months. I didnt notice any changes, other than losing weight, although i will admit that may not be a long enough time period to cause any changes.
In any case, it wasnt too bad. It seems like theres dairy product in everything once you start looking.
