What's the best way to prepare lentils? I feel like I fuck up when I cook with them because they always tastes like stale dogfood.
if they taste stale they probably are(and were when you bought them)
Cook them in chicken stock with rice and seasoning. Most legumes are bland if you just boil and eat them.
soak in fridge for 24hrs, then cook in pressure cooker for 2 minutes. then do what you want with them in a saucepan.

Basically make bacon or pancetta stock
