I have had dog before, it's nothing special and I'd only eat it again in a survival situation.

I'd eat pigeon if it were raised or from the woods (yes, there are still pigeons in the woods). I would not eat city street pigeons, God knows what they've been getting in to.

Cat? Meh. Nothing about cats makes think they'd taste good.

I've eaten dog and pigeon. Not cat, though I've had plenty of chances with fresh roadkill.

Squab is good, dog is not. Very greasy and fatty. It was from an old shepherd mix my neighbor out down. Dog lived like a king but his cancer was getting bad and he didn't want to put his dog through chemo so he shot it and had me skin and tan it. He gave me the rest of the carcass and we just went for it for the hell of it.

Judging by the two other dogs I've skinned and mounted, bully breeds are even fattier and more greasy. Didn't eat them but they are a pain to work on.

Valid point, the ones where I am seem mostly pretty healthy but there's a shitton of air pollution. I'd probably hit the coast before harvesting any.
