I made Svickova.
The bread dumplings had too much tumeric in them. Lard did not work as a replacement for bacon fat. Shit was still good.

Added some lard (not a good replacement for bacon fat) then put it in the stove at about 250F. I later decided to cover it with foil.

Of course, I stewed it up.
I couldn't find all the roots I needed so I used celery and carrots. The heavy cream compensated for the taste. It did help that I used whole peppercorns, allspice berries, and bay leaves. Don't forget to remove these guys.
I should mention I have no blender, but used a hand immersion blender.
We mixed different flours with bread.
