Amazon has a knife on third daily sales almost every day. They are all generally no named and have heavy discounts like pic related. Is this just fake sales or what? Or would these knives be ok for an entry level knife?
does it say how many times the steel has been folded?
>>9378016
It's German steel not weeb steel, it requires no folding.
>>9378087
then it requires non of my attention either
>>9378087
Freaking OP man. Too funny.
>>9378007
Bump. I want to know too.
you fucking morons realize that "folding steel" was about removing impurities, right? They do that at the initial coking process in modern kilns.
Or are most of you assholes just stupid?

> initial coking process
typical gaijin... fixates on cola
>>9378007
You're seeing more of knifes cause you probably searched for it recently.
>made in China
No fucking thanks. Why not pick up a cheap victorinox that you can beat to shit?
>>9378007
I never understood you quality fags. Does the knife cut? Is the handle managing to stay attached during use? Then yes, it's an acceptable cooking knife.
>>9379270
Second this. I have the exact same knife (though I got it for way more money years ago). It holds an edge like a motherfucker and is very versatile in the kitchen. This is the same price range as the knock off in the OP but it's way better.
>>9379270
how many times is the steel folded for this one?
>>9379122
Kek
Are knifeblock sets a meme? I need some knives, but I don't feel like I need 14 of them.
>>9379302
Sort of. I'd start with a chef's knife (you can handle at least an 8inch, don't be a bitch and go for the six) and a paring knife. Maybe a bread knife if you're feeling saucy.
Grab some blade guards and keep them on a drawer.
>>9378007
>Is this just fake sales or what?
YES you dumb shit. Whatever you see as "on sale" on amazon is based entirely on your prior search history.
>>9378007
i bought this knife not too long ago for work. its okay , comfortable to hold. i thought it was bad at holding an edge, but one of the other prep bitches has been using my knife when im not there and she never hones it...so its probably just . if you do get it make sure you put some wood oil or something on the handle after its been washed a lot. mine started to dry out

I got one as a gift that has a chef knife, carving knife, santoku, pairing knife, bread knife, and several steak knives.
It's great, and better than having random knives in the drawer. If my chef's knife gets dull I just hone it.
