Want to buy a stand mixer. Anyone recommend a good one that's not too expensive. The ones on amazon are $35-$300, are the $35 ones any good? eg https://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-64650-6-Speed-Stainless/dp/B000R4LD1Y/

"There is no savings like quality."
You buy cheap, you get cheap, OP. Keep that in mind.

Do you think that extra finger works like a thumb?

It usually doesn't. No grasping or pinching, only holding between fingers like you would a cigarette.

Not worth it, you'll burn out the motor by doing jobs that are the big reason for buying a mixer, most likely within 6 months. People buy KitchenAids because they last a lifetime doing heavy work, so if you don't want to spend that money just get an electric hand whisk and knead dough or whatever else by hand.

Basically this. The /csg/ "this came from the Kitchenaid factory but we can't call it a Kitchenaid" options run around $200, anything sold for lower than what the Chinese charge probably has some serious corner cutting.

every time I look stuff up on amazon though it seems like even the expensive shit turns crap and there's no support from the company
