My friend finally moved out of his mother's house.
What should I get him for his new apartment? Be it a teapot, knives, pans, crockpot, etc.
He can barely work the microwave but his roommate loves to cook and we are slowly teaching him(and failing at it because he is a fucking idiot).
They have a microwave, oven, stove, coffee pot and toaster.

>My friend
It's okay anon, we were all noobs once, no need to make up stories.

Man, I wish I had friends like you. I love to cook but I suck at it. Everything I know is self taught.

I wish I had less friends like him. Since he won't go away I'm trying to make him less useless. This motherfucker cannot comprehend mixing, oven temperature, how to drive a car or anything. It took 8 years but I finally got it to stick to him on how to fry and egg and it felt like a gift from god.

He says he rather have a bear head hanging up in his kitchen but he is going to have to earn that.

Maybe you should find out what he's good for and have him do that, while the rest cooks. There's no use in teaching someone something they don't want to learn.

Give him utensils and appliances that help him cook cheap stuff easily. Rice Cooker, nonstick pan with plastic utensils, french press.
