I never said celery was the most flavorful, but it does taste saltier than other vegetables. Not the same as just adding salt to other vegetables though. Celery just has a kind of slightly earthy, grassy flavor but still tastes "clean". It's fine if you don't like it, but if you're going to try to convince me it's bad and that I shouldn't like it, that's kind of silly.

Being able to distinguish itself, as a distinct taste, between onions and bell peppers would imply that it certainly adds a strong element to any food.
