Alright /ck/, redpill me on xylitol.
I have nothing against real sugar and am not looking to replace it with an artificial sweetener, but this shit caught my attention when I got a free sample from a vitamin shop and it didn't taste like shit like every other artificial sweetener. It still probably gives you cancer like they all do, right?

I'm pretty sure it has similar effects to the digestive track as long-term beer consumption, as it's it's a sugar based alcohol compound. I'd say it's safe for say a diet but NOT okay for everyday use.
I have limited knowledge and I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's accurate.
Well it's not fermentable so you can use it to sweeten homebrewed alcohol without making your bottles explode.
Research shows it's good for your teeth. However large amounts of it make you shit your pants, so have in moderation.

I identify it for nasal irrigation. It moisturizers

the very few times i've used xylitol, even in very small amounts, it made me shit my guts out and vomit. having that experience, i can't imagine xylitol is good for anyone at all.

Unknown, but it will give you projectile diarrhea if you use too much

Alcohol broadly refers to organic molecules with a hydroxyl functional group. Ethanol [CH3CH2OH] is a completely different molecule from xylitol [CH2OH(CHOH)3CH2OH]
I have no idea about long term effects of either ethanol or xylitol consumption, I'm not a doctor, but ur retarded.
