I bought one of them mini deep fryers
how often should I change the oil? I've used it twice now and everything tasted fine the second time
You'll know when it's time to change it, trust me.

Yea pretty much. It'll get brown and lots of food grit/sediment will build up. If you don't use it that often it should last you quite awhile though

That and the smell.

It'll start to smoke at cooking temperature and burn. That's when you know to swap that shit out, just be sure to do it when it's cold....a hot-swap could melt your hand.

Those things are such a waste of money. I bought one and it barely lasted a year. Also was only really good for making fries because it was too overcrowded for anything else.
Better off getting a wok and thermostat.
depends on what you're frying
deep frying breaded chicken = one time use for me
that ruins the oil and I toss it out
