Sup /ck/, i need some help.I asked /fit/ bit they are clueless about it and thought you guys might know something about nutrition and health.

So, apparently I have psoriasis.Had something similar to pic related on my right palm for the last 2 months and it itches like crazy.
Anyway, i went to a dermatologist today, and she told me that i should switch my diet, since apparently a big reason for this is that my liver cant properly absorb vitamin-a and i should start eating mainly lean meats and green veggies, while avoidint stuff with high acidity like tomatoes, pork, potatoes, etc.
The problem is, that i've been on keto for the longest time and i had GREAT results because of it, do you think that the keto diet might be responsible for this shit?
>>
>>9299530
Yes. 100% of people who try a keto diet die.
>>
>>9299541
something like this.

it's not meant to be done over a long long time
>>
>>9299541
my wife almost died coming *off* a keto diet. apparently some shit happens when you aren't used to carbs and some bilogoical process eats all the potassium in your blood, or something.
please be very careful with keto diets, anons.

A serious skin condition warrants a second opinion instead of just blindly trusting one expert.

For example, you know every person with common sense always sees a second dentist if the first dentist claims you are gonna need some pricey dental work, right?

Have you done any patch testing? Are you sure your skin isn't just having an allergic reaction? Maybe an allergist should be consulted since allergists also know about skin conditions as well.

This is just my opinion, but rather than looking to change your diet right off the bat without consulting anybody like a dietician, I say change your bathing/cleaning habits first.

Look at your shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial soap/wash, shaving cream, toothpaste, moisturizer, cologne, etc as possible culprits in your skin irritation as well. What is something your right palm comes in contact with everyday or your skin everyday?

If I were you, I start looking and using only Fragrance Free and SLS-Free Products.

Vanicream Cleansing Bar

https://www.amazon.com/Vanicream-Cleansing-Fragrance-Free-Ounce/dp/B0001EKWPI

https://www.psico.com/product/vanicream-cleansing-bar/

https://www.psico.com/where-to-buy/

https://www.psico.com/international-distribution/

Most recommended brand of Fragrance Free soap from Allergists, Dermatologists and Pediatricians.

Pharmaceutical Specialties Inc., the company that makes this fragrance free soap, is an American based company too, located in Rochester, Minnesota.

I personally use their Vaniply™ Ointment, Facial Cleanser, Free & Clear™ Shampoo and Conditioner, and Cleansing Bar.

If you love fragrance-free products, this is the best brand to buy them from.

They sell fragrance free Sunscreen and Shaving Cream as well.

As for toothpaste, the SLS-free toothpaste brand I buy is Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening Toothpaste 4 pack from Costco

https://www.costco.com/Sensodyne-ProNamel-Gentle-Whitening-Toothpaste-6.5-oz%2C-4-count.product.100215530.html

It's the most mainstream SLS-free toothpaste you can buy because many SLS-free toothpaste brands are too "hippy" for me to use since they are also fluoride-free which isn't something I want.

Luckily, Sensodyne ProNamel is SLS-free and contains Fluoride

Also, while I prefer the Vaniply Ointment, many people are also happy with Vanicream

Vanicream is easier to buy than Vaniply since Vaniply Ointment is mainly only available online while Vanicream can be bought at physical locations like Walgreens, CVS, or Target.

I mainly buy Pharmaceutical Specialties Inc products online but when I can't wait for my Amazon order to arrive, I buy them from my local Walgreens, instead.

Anyways, yeah, depends on perference in your body moistiturize: Do you like cream more or ointment when it comes to moisturizing your body?

For my body needs, I like the feel of ointment better rather than cream. It's all preference.

So yeah, I don't really know where you live, OP, so my posts might not really be helpful for people who don't live in America.

I just feel like you should consider a second opinion and maybe get the help of a dietician or go see an allergist or second dermatologist.

Remember the term dietician is federally regulated so don't go to a nutritionist because technically anybody can call themselves a nutritionist because the term nutrition is not federally regulated so you can get scammed by a con artist.

At least, if you go to a dietician, you get somebody who has to pass an exam first.

A lot of people in my family have psoriasis and they don't do keto. I've heard that stress, eating gluten, dairy, sugar and alcohol makes it worse.
My advice would be to use the products listed on this thread and see if it gets better. If it doesn't, even after you've used the right moisturizers and shit, then you should visit a doctor.
>>
>>9299530
Yeah, maybe the soap or cleanser you been using to wash your hands everyday is too strong, fragrant, or contains SLS.

Get a fragrance free soap or cleanser for your hands and body. Make sure its SLS-free, too.

Fragrance-free is also a must since fragrance can make irritated skin even worst.

Vanicream is Mayo Clinic's most favorite moisturizer you know.

http://www.mayoclinic.org/documents/mc1234-20-pdf/doc-20078809

Go look at Page 17.

I don't think anybody on /ck/ would hate Mayo Clinic.

If you are european , buy Sal Ekarzin ointment,it's great . Talk to your doctor, and if you don't have liver problems get Neotigason, pills. Take care, you can't make children 2 years after taking the pulls.

>tfw got that shit on my scalp/head
fucking sucks, found one product that worked ages ago but it was a cream and it would be hard applying a cream to the parts covered under my hair and the shampoo didn't really work so i have given up, couldn't imagine having it on an easily visable area.
