So my pantry is in a state of mess right now. It's my first time living fully on my own and so I came to ask for advice on how to organize my dry food section.
Looking for tips from anyone with worthwhile advice.
Also pantry/food cabinet general I guess.
Here's a tip: close your cupboard doors so no one can see what a fucking mess it is in there ;^)
Save jars and get some dry erase labels.
Cheap little lazy susans are nice for getting at things in the back.
Rubbermade food storage stuff is a nice but a bit pricey.

I isolate baking from cooking, and spices from sauces. Makes for a solid easy access moment when in a cooking situation. There's some cross-over like having corn starch in the baking area but needing to use it for sauces and slurry...but it mostly works.
The most important thing is just to remember where you put shit so you're not scrambling around trying to find something in desperation when you need it. I did it the other day trying to find bay leaves.
