:: /ck/ META thread ::
Not happy when one meta is allowed but is then quickly shoved under the carpet
Why did hiroshimoot make a rule that allows people to post a single literal shit thread at a time on a board about food?
someone's gotta put a stop to all these meems
Costco hotdog
Bang's Root Beer
etc

Just browse /tv/ and then realize that this place is like the VIP of 4chan. Stop whining. Things could be a lot worse.
>>9271831
Give us an idea of what kind of current threads that should be removed (apart from this one, it'll be gone soon)
>>9271861
Any sip thread, it's a retarded /fit/ meme.
One thing that strikes me about /ck/ is how extreme it is. It feels like most of you either post about nothing but tendies and fast food, or you're experts who insist on making every little thing from scratch. As an unskilled but fairly competent cook who takes a lot of shortcuts, I feel like a minority here.

Any thread that people enjoy
this board is nothing but memes, never clicked on here once in the 11 years i've browsed 4chan but jesus christ all you're discussing is fast food and the genuine cooking advice is often shit. combine this with the fact that vegetarian/vegan inquiries get mocked with in a way that even my 13-year old self wouldn't do, it's a pretty big cesspool
sopa de macaoca thing is funny tho
>>9272811
Sopa is an /int/ and /sp/ meme anyways not even like /ck/ can take credit for it
>>9272923
All we get is the McChicken, and even that's a disappointment

Not me anon. I'm no chef, but I am a former line cook with experience in traditional southern, Italian, New York deli, pub grub, pizza, Chinese, French bistro, cajun-creole, and regular old corporate American flyover Applebees bullshit.
I can cook a whip up a pretty good meal for a date, or fix myself something decent without resorting to hungry man dinners and ramen. Those are the main threads I post in.
Can we genocide the sippers please

/ck/ has had several OC meme's over the years, not that you would know.
Also legit cooking discussion happens here, you just don't know how to check the catalogue.
>>9272113
/ck/ is mostly pretend chefs, line cooks, and idiots who have no idea what they're doing.
>>9272811
someone get this hothead outta here!
