what is the differnce between uht milk and ACTUAL real milk also

I've always wanted to try a glass of proper cow's milk (i.e. without all the nonsense hormones added and whatnot)

UHT milk has basically been boiled to kill any spores or bacteria. it can last for months. Boiling milk will denature some of the protiens and likely ruin the flavor.

Never seen this in stores in burgerland so I cant say how it tastes compared to real milk

In the US, pretty much all milk spoils within a week, at least in WA. First time Ive seen UHT milk was when I went to Italy. Tasted pretty bad. The fresh milk is about as good as ours

UHT milk is ACTUAL milk. All milk in the USA is pasteurized. The difference is the temperature at which the milk is pasteurized and for how long. Pasteurization is essentially a form of canning.

Normal pasteurization lasts 30 mins at a certain temp (google it), and that will lend the milk a certain shelf life before you open it and after you open it, in the US usually for your gallon container is about two weeks of date and a few days to 7 days after you open it.

UHT is what they call aseptic canning, the milk is packaged into a bag and that bag is pasteurized at a ULTRA HIGH TEMPERATURE for a very short period of time, high temp will scorch the milk, so UHT milk will have a "sweeter/burnt" flavor for some people, others can't even tell. It lasts six months or longer in a tetrapak container and also about 7 days or longer after opened.

Most states have some faggoty laws about purchasing raw milk from the store, so you need to purchase it directly from the farmer who milked it.

Is long life milk really this rare in the states? I'm surprised it's completely normal in Europe and Australia, and we also think Canada is weird for putting milk in bag.

UHT just is just regular milk that's been "canned" (sterilised and placed into a air tight sealed package, not condensed milk).

The difference is like fresh tomatoes with canned tomatoes. It doesn't taste as good on its own but you probably wouldn't notice at all in a meal.

UHT milk sucks ass.
It's also known as "shelf-stable" milk, because it doesnt need to be refrigerated.

It's such low quality flavor that we pretty much only use it as a coffee creamer, or give it to children.

We really don't need long life milk in the states, because a family of four can drink nearly a gallon every day or two.

Well technically it's not an aerosol because the cheese does not mix with the propellant. The inside of the can looks more like a syringe, and the propellant in the bottom just pushes the plunger up. But I see what you mean.

Having soft meats, pate, and cheese in cans or tubes is a global phenomenon. American just made the spray can because they're SO fucking lazy that they cannot squeeze a tube onto a cracker.

I'm honestly shocked that we don't have spray can potted meat (because I'd really love that)

That isn't true. You can buy it straight from the farmers. They get around it by selling under "animal consumption only" There's a small local club near me and I always buy cheese from them, it's very good.
