Why are hotdogs always served with low/mediocore tier sausages, instead of actual good sausages?

They aren't, but flyovers don't have access to good hotdogs. They have to settle for crappy national brands.

Hot dogs are considered a cheap food in many places, and as a result they're often poor quality. But this is not universal. The hot dogs in Denmark (and parts of Germany) are excellent. In NYC the hot dog at Katz's Deli is top notch, made by Marathon in NJ, the same company that makes entirely decent natural skinned dogs for Papaya King. Feltman's just opened on Coney Island, serving upscale hot dogs as well. And there are plenty of places across the country where a local producer (usually with a German or Polish name) is turning out hot dogs a good few steps above anything you can find in an average supermarket.
Hot dogs my be fundamentally trashy, but not all of them are trash.

So what your saying is that it made a complete 360?

Because you don't live in Wisconsin.
Because it's a business, and hot dogs are cheap and filling - therefore they can be marked up to make a nice profit.
Unless you're cooking for yourself or your friends, remember, just about every food is made to make some kind of a profit.

Because street food is supposed to be inexpensive
About as retarded as gourmet chicken nuggets
