I ordered a bottle of this assuming that it would be about as hot or less hot than regular Daves as it doesn't use the capsaicin extract, but after doing a bit of research it seems like it's way hotter.
Is there anyone who has tried this and can confirm the heat? What would you recommend doing with it? I already have to dilute the regular Daves a lot to make it bearable

There are several peppers known as scorpion peppers, ranging in scoville from 800 thousand to 1.5 million. Or anywhere between 2 -5 times hotter than habanero for perspective, depending on their blend. So yeah, no matter what you're probably looking at some hot ass sauce.

Try a few drops in a chili or pasta sauce. It's not really a condiment, more like an ingredient. You can dilute it with BBQ sauce, ketchup, whatever but if you want to have a hot sauce that you can just shake on a meal you bought the wrong shit.
Not a huge loss, you just gave yourself more steps to prepare a dish.

I have that and it's delicious. Heat is very hot with a string, but not bitter. All you need is a small dot on each bite for maximum enjoyment. Scorpion pepper tastes the best with cheese, so I put it on pizza.

Yeah I knew what I was getting into with Dave's, I've bought a couple bottles of the original stuff. But from what I can gather the Scorpion sauce is 10-20x hotter, I'm going to have to use pretty microscopic amounts

I also like to mix it in sour cream for tacos, or as a dipping sauce for chicken strips.

Absolutely my favorite tasting hot sauce. It is pretty damn hot though. I actually like the flavor so I'll put as much as I can stand in things like chili.
It's hot. Pic related

I meant to add that there is also no vinegar, so I'm not sure if that means the recipe calls for a fermenting process? Either way it's basically what got me interested in fermenting my own hot sauce.

Were you resting on your side when you took that pic?
Just curious, how long does a bottle of the scorpion sauce last you? I've literally had mine for over a year.

My phone uploaded it sideways for some reason. I've had mine for two years. It's well past expiring, by its still good.

i use it as a condiment, shit is too tasty to not dipp
