I want to find some truly unique food in new york that's not 4+ star expensive. Where do I look?
atm all I have on the list is baohaus and that one taco place on 56th street with the cricket tacos

The outer burroughs.

look, how about you just spoonfeed me the names of interesting restaurants in the city, and I'll agree not to spam jay-jay the jet plane porn tomorrow, okay?

Sorry. Haven't lived in NYC since about 8 years ago, and wasn't a native. There are thousands of sites dedicated to food in the city that would probably be more helpful than the opinions of /ck/ anons. It would have been kind of interesting to ask moot where he liked to eat, back when he posted on /ck/ - but it likely wouldn't have been very interesting.

There was some place that he liked that had great cactus, burritos, seafood, steak, tacos, etc. I don't remember the name though.

NYC has a pretty shitty Mexican food scene; not that there aren't really good places here and there for almost everything.
