My club sent me a free sampler pack of Mexican beer this month.

You can brew, craft brew, or distill whatever you want, wherever in the world you want. Got it? So, yea, that beer from x country might be fantastic. Does it need to be from belgium to be good belgian style? No. Only stouts from Britain? Nope. Good. That's settled.
Now, let's discuss how there are 100s of choices of craft beers now in most places in the world. How many are good? Does it matter? Go get rankings if you want, or let your palate do the ranking.
Mexican beer is awesome. Mexico isn't the third world shithole you obviously think it is. It had Hapsburg family rule. That big ol castle in Chapultepec Park was Maximilian, retarded insane brother of Emperor Franz Joseph, yea, and beer ever since. I think they have had time to perfect some of the recipes. I think Negra Modelo hits the spot. Mostly, there are Czech pilsners, this is what alcoholics can really knock back in sessions, but it is pretty much the bulk of the US imports that are that style and they're popular because they don't offend the senses. Are they great? Well, a lot of beer people love to call pilsners "piss" or "water" and other offensive names. Guess it depends if you like pilsners vs ales vs stouts vs IPAs.
They could be skunky spoiled, that's always a possibility on an import or slow moving stock, or they could be a style you don't enjoy. One or the other dude.
The chili beer looks like a gimmick as does the one with the honey on the picture, but you might like gimmicks as a lot of Dogfish Head people eat up those special mead-y funky editions from recipes they found in old caves in the aztec ancient chinese temple of El Dorado gold fame.

t-thanks.....
Mexican beer brewing was started by Austrians when Maximillian was emperor of Mexico. So there's definitely a German style lager similarity. Interestingly, until craft brewers in the US started brewing them, Modelo was the only example of Vienna Lager left in the world.
