Food vloggers and "showy" eaters really are annoying, because it's obnoxious.
They're doing something indulgent in the first place. A simple biological necessity, but an indulgent form of it, seeing as it's always food that the eater enjoys (I have never seen a food vlogger actually give a negative "review", even for shit fast food, it's always sooo good), but would never reproduce on a regular basis for sustenance, if they could produce it at all.
Then, they believe that the sounds of their wet, slimy gums, teeth, tongue and lips gnawing, mashing, breaking, and sucking pieces of food, are pleasing/informative to the listener.
They also seem to think that the sight of them manipulating food into their wet mouth holes, dripping, crumbling, smearing, sticking, and leaking onto their lips, cheeks, and chin ("Oops, hehe! :)") as they eye-fuck the camera all the while, talking loudly with food still in their mouths, directly to the viewer, is somehow appealing and addictive to watch.
Then they're recording and uploading this. In their minds, they had to, at some point, entertain the thought: "People need to see this. Me, performing a basic biological function, with food they can easily purchase and eat themselves, or food they never will. Just a no-talent non-skill that anyone with a functioning jaw can do. They need to hear what I think of it too, because I'm important and the world cares about my opinions. That's how I'll leave my mark on the world, I could even get famous. Damn I'm charismatic."

"Mukbang" or "ASMR chewing sounds" are the worst offenders. It doesn't relax me to hear someone chewing, squishing, and drooling right in my fucking ear like they're actively dribbling food onto the side of my face, no matter how hot they are. That shit is just stressful, if not aggravating.

All of it always seems to have an "I'm so cute!" vibe to it, too.
I conclude that it's just porn for people with eating disorders and oral fixations.

Wow, and why not? I'd defend it. It's a term. I just looked it up, and saw it's been documented since 1900 in the lexicon. And, it was very appropriately used to describe the vlogger in question, which I understand has been apprised of this observation, and has toned it down. I'm sure he when he exaggerates now, it won't be overdone as to set off so many alarms.

So, I forgot about this Mark vlogger, and just hit his site, and am worried about him.

Yes, he's offensive at the same time. The facial expressions? He's just a geek. He's not an actor. Maybe some psych disorder, who knows? On the spectrum, possibly.
But, from a class and etiquette, and general common sense, perspective...he is offensive. He eats like a pig, both hands, will often use fingers where others wouldn't, has a little competitive eating kind of finality to things vs trying tastes and being sensible, makes noises while eating, shoves overly large pieces into his mouth, and obviously creates scenes while filming, not respecting other diners, being a little too orgasmic. It's not often you see a waiter kind of cater to him, but rather stand back a little in surprise or annoyance.
