It's a good strategy. People always feel bad about eating fast food. You're not going to convince them that it's healthy. You're not going to convince them that it's classy. Might as well go full machismo and arrogance without overstating or dwelling on it and coming off as insecure.

He's right, the sandwiches are usually fairly healthy at least compared to the rest of the menu. They might have a bit more salt and sugar but it's still usually a better balanced protein + veg + carb, compared to soda and fries which are carbs or fat + carbs. Getting two sandwiches with water and small fries would be healthier than getting one sandwich + large soda/fries.

No it fucking isn't, not by a long shot. My last sandwich from there was an egg and bacon sandwich that was the worst fast food meal I've ever had. The eggs patties were garbage and the paper-thin """""bacon""""" was completely tasteless. When I buy a sausage McBiscuit from McDonald's, I know it's going to taste absolutely delicious, and in that moment of chewing my first bite, I know the nausea later will have been worth it.
