Aero garden is only for starting seeds, the light isnt strong enough to keep anything long. Order a led grow bulb from amazon for 20-30 bucks, get a clamp lamp from your hardware store and a big pot and some good soil.

Set up a table underneath a window, find something of a similar height, and then put them there on top of the table. There are kittycat balconies people buy that attach to windows without good deep sills, alternately.

I got an aero garden a few months ago. It seems pretty good to me, I grow cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, basil, and thyme.
