how so?
At least you're making some sort of effort, anon.
But promise me you'll treat your salmon better next time - salt it lightly and broil/oven for 2 minutes, then glaze it in some mixture of soy sauce, chilli powder, sugar, mirin, tiny bit of oil, or whatever else along those lines you have. Then back in the oven for another 5 or so, maybe less if it's thin.
If you're feeling fancy drop some spring onion or sesame on it after.

whats wrong with doing it in a cast iron pan on the stove?

Quality meal

Nothing wrong with doing it that way, I'm just suggesting a different way of preparing salmon (and is less effort really)
Doing it in a pan is fine, but a lot harder to get that nice juicy salmon. Hopefully it won't end up as black as the pan. Maybe coat the salmon in egg wash to give you a helping hand.

thanks for the tip. i'll try it that way next time.

I get mods yelling at me
just cook the salmon and veggies a little less hard, anon. don't be so abusive to the things you put in your body

Salmon is too expensive to do that to. Cooking a catfish or tilapia filet blackened that is fine, but like others have said, treat you salmon more gently. It's fatty and delicious, let the flavor speak for itself.

Frozen salmon fillets were on sale for 5 bucks for a 2.5 pound bag.
