You just answered your own question:
>garbage
>>
I've done exactly this with shitty hotdogs in brine and shitty tesco hotdog buns

Literally water

Congratulations. You discovered the worst-tasting, most branding-recognized American mustard. This is the shit we put out for the 7-year-olds at neighborhood cookouts. Next time try some kind of brown mustard like stadium mustard for a popular, common one that adults eat.

>putting toppings or condiments on hot dogs

fucking idiot
>>

It basically tastes like vinegar and nothing else. I don't see the point of getting mad at it though.

Considering i've only ever been a consumer of british style mustard i figured i would try it. It's not one of my favourite condiments by a mile but it ended up in my basket.

>>9191096

Any names of specific brown mustard i could buy?
>>

French's makes a brown mustard, too. There's also, Stadium Mustard, Gulden's, Koop's, etc. It's a long list. You're pretty much looking for a "spicy brown" mustard. This is the common mustard type Americans usually put on ballpark/street food hotdogs. The yellow stuff is mostly used for the kids and recipes you want some bright yellow turmeric color.

Thanks for the info. For me, yellow mustard is colman's english mustard. My disappointment with the french's equivalent was pretty high. I'll have a look into those you mentioned, thank you.
