I had a monster energy drink for the first time last night and I'm someone who doesn't consume caffeine whatsoever.

The first time I had monster energy white version/zero sugar I thought it was one of the nicest tasting drinks ever. The 2nd drink was as nice. Then I had maybe 4 more, so 6 in total. My 7th one I kinda lost the niceness and just was overcome with the overly sweet taste, I didn't enjoy it at all. I had my last can yesterday that I've been keeping in the fridge for hot summer day. It didn't taste good at all and I didn't finish it. It's not so much the taste is awful, it's just the sweetness is overpowering the initial fruity flavour I was getting on my first can.

What are some /replacement sips/ you guys recommend?

I used to like the Ultra Zero, but after a while the sweetness was too much for me to keep drinking them. I haven't had one in a long time, but it got to the point of being actively disgusting.

I prefer most of the Ultra colors to Ultra Zero. Except blue, blue is vile.

How did this meme start? Monster is one of the worst tasting energy drinks I've had, and any "zero sugar" edition of a normal drink generally tastes like crap by default, so that must make the taste like twice as bad.
