/ck/s, need help. Cooking chicken, and I have a Lawry's Herb and Garlic marinade. It's for my mum's chicken taco recipe. How long should I let it marinade, or should I follow the instructions and slather it on with a brush after cooking the chicken. Also, how do I cook chicken without it drying out?

Stop overcooking it. Simple as that. Get a thermometer if you're having trouble with that.

Marinades are applied before cooking. Several hours minimum or it won't do much good. Applying it with a brush after cooking sounds like instructions for a sauce not a marinade.

As long as the marinade has no citrus (acid) it can go for an easy 24 hours.
