Had some last night at dinner in the US, after having spent a month in Egypt. It's more of a Lebanese thing, but my problem with it is that it's just not as good as hummus, baba ghanoush, or labna. There's no reason for me to eat it over one of those other three. It's good, but as breads and spreads go in MENA, it's meh.

They aren't flyover they said the flavors didn't mix well. Maybe it was just that particular version. I didn't try it.

turkish place in my town made this stuff. THen they closed and I can't find it anywhere and I keep making it badly. Fuck

I had some red peppers and walnuts so I made it. Really good on sandwiches if you don't mind a little sweetness.
