Can't beat licorice. It doesn't compare to the real stuff but it's still great.

As standard candy flavors go, the best ones are in the pink, red, and yellow varieties. Orange is okay too. Purple, blue, and green are inferior.

Jelly beans are more complex, but the general color scheme holds. Except for yellow. The lemonish yellows are great. The butter/scotch yellows stink.

I always found Tutti Fruitti to taste more like gum than the actual bubble gum flavour.

Blueberry + coconut together is awesome

Also grape is great because the artificial grape flavour is otherwise quite rare in the UK. Jelly belly is very interesting in how they allow you to try alll these individual artificial flavourings actually, I suppose that's the purpose of jelly beans.
