Heyo. I'm making little gelatin parfaits like this for the 4th. I bought some Knox unflavored gelatin for the white part and was going to make it so with a little bit of heavy cream (plus vanilla and some sugar for flavor). I'm having trouble figuring out the proportion of gelatin-to-water, and most recipes I can find aren't quite on the money of what I'm looking for- involving fruit juice, syrup, sour cream, etc.

I just want to make a pot of it like you'd do with regular Jell-O, then pour the layers on one by one after the previous one cools.

When I make panna cotta I use around ~2 cups liquid (in this case, half-and-half) per 1 packet gelatin. I assume you would want the gelatin firmer than panna cotta, so maybe use 1 cup liquid per packet of gelatin?

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to get a second opinion before I went to (potentially) wasting the gelatin. Thanks!
