Anyone here pickled sugar snap peas before? Snow peas? How'd you go about it? How'd they turn out?
Any other suggestions for neat stuff to pickle? I right this instant realized that almost all pickled foods I've eaten have been tasty as fuck, yet I've not pickled anything myself before. I'm kind of stunned that I've not done this before. Any good tips for someone starting down this path o' picklin'?
My great uncle old pickle oatmeal. He so afraid to starving, he pickle bread also
I've pickled cucumbers, carrot, mooli and parsnips. They were all tasty.
Rather than ask people here for tips, I would get a good book or two on pickling if I were you. It can be quite technical, and you don't want to poison yourself.

This. Pickling can be pretty risky and requires a trusted source of info.

What? A vinegar brine with 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water is acidic enough there isn't any risk if stored in the refrigerator. Now, canning it will require attention to proper techniques but it still only requires a water bath, not pressure canning.
Perhaps you're thinking of salt brine fermentation pickling where the lacto bacillus produces the lactic acid. Even that is safe and simple if you sanitize and use proper salt ratios. There are a number of good websites about fermenting vegetables.
Telling people they shouldn't be inquiring about anons' experiences with pickling or fermenting vegetables because it's muh /ck/ is pretty stupid. Not everyone on this board is trying to fuck people up.

I'm going to hunt down some books, definitely. I'd be interested to hear some experiences too though.
Dumping some pickling pics. Stand by.
Pickled eggs with jalapeƱos, onions, and habaneros. Delicious and spicy

Pickled cucumbers. The one marked "Rohde" was a little wimpy batch for my buddy who can't handle the heat. The rest have habaneros in them as well.

Just good, plain jalapeƱo peppers. Added in some garlic too.

Pickled sausages. I'm still working on this recipe. I'm trying to emulate the Penrose pickled sausages, but I can't get the taste right.

I had pickled kielbasa once and was pretty disappointed. I love pickled food, love kielbasa, but pickled kielbasa was entirely robbed of all of the things I like about both for some reason. They were exceedingly bland.
I'd like to try a better quality version and see if it was just an outlier.
