bakersfield is a really spread out town so the parts people see by the I5 or 99 seem really shitty but there are nice upper class neighborhoods where people live because of the lower housing prices

5 guys is good, but I don't get the meme because it's casual dine-in-tier pricing. Clearly better than in and out(only had it once live in the east, it was meh and underwhelming). Rallys/checkers to me is the most underrated fast food place so I'm biased. It's a little better but not worth the price differential at all.
