Recently some of my friends have started to try their hand at cooking, they have been moving into new cities and getting familiar with new groups of friends, while I have been busy with my job. The other day I offered advice to a friend who I have not seen in awhile. I was telling him how I like to use garlic and he cut me off and said "Move out of your step parents house and then let me know how to cook". We were both real drunk, but I was left with my mouth hanging open. My only skill is cooking, and my friends have finally started to try it themselves. Very confused. How do I share my years of practice and research involving preparing food? I have never shared this hobby whit anyone except my step mom.

and also, your gay ass friends will probably get AIDS from city dwelling homos
Long explanations are boring and rude. It's not a conversation, it is a lecture.
Tell funny stories and anecdotes, instead. if you want to be clever, weave the info into the story.
