Can I make escargot out of garden snails? Are there any health

They have parasites that'll bore into your muscles. I forget the name.

You have to eat snails that have been raised on a diet of corn meal in a tank. Snails out in the wild have crap and parasites in their system.

It's a possibility.
Though at about a 5% chance it can carry rat lungworm, so if you know there is an infestation of rats in your area, I would say stay away.

Though if cleaned properly and well you are in an area with little to no wild rats, it should be safe to try once at least. Besides Gordon Ramsey can agree to eating garden variety escargo.
